The commander of Jaish Maghaweir Al-Thowra (the Revolutionary Commando Army), Lieutenant Colonel “Muhannad al-Tallaa” , was lightly wounded after his forces clashed with Daesh elements in the vicinity of the Al-Tanaf military base in Homs countryside.
The clashes resulted in the death of a number of Daesh militants and the capture of four others by Jaish Maghaweir Al-Thowra.
Daesh militants targeted a military vehicle belonging to Maghaweir Al-Thowra forces with konkurs missile, but Al-Tallaa was in another car and was lightly injured by the explosion.
Jaish Maghaweir Al-Thowra fighters are deployed in Al-Tanaf military base and in the 55 km area, which includes Al-Rukban IDPs camp.
Muhannad Al-Tallaa is the commander of the Army, and formerly the commander of the New Syrian Army, in addition to his former position as the commander of Deir Ezzor Military Council.
