The number of the agricultural lands consumed by fires in the areas controlled by the Assad’s forces and supporting militias in Deir Ezzor is increasing every day.
D24 network correspondent said that over the past few days, large areas of farmland, in which crops (wheat, barley) were ready for harvesting in Deir Ezzor countryside, have been burnt.
Our correspondent confirmed that agricultural lands in the villages and towns of al-Abbas, Al-Syal and Al-Mijawda were exposed to fires, the most recent of which was last night on the outskirts of Muhassan city, where hundreds of dunums of wheat were eaten by fire near the entrance of the city.
Community sources said most of the fires were set intentionally, and pointed fingers at the Iranian-backed militias after seeing someone setting fire on an agricultural land in the countryside of Al-Bukamal city.
