A number of the Assad’s forces elements were killed and others injured in an armed attack on a checkpoint in Azaghir Shamiyah village in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, D24 network correspondent reported.
And he confirmed that a convoy of the Assad regime was heading to the attack position and was also attacked with light weapons and grenades near “al-Sarah” area, which resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of elements.
He noted that the attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen, and that the Assad’s forces in the area were on high alert following the attack in Al-Kharitah and Azaghir Shamiyah villages.
