Local sources confirmed to D24 network that the Assad regime has cut off the power in some neighborhoods of Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The sources indicated that for the eighth day in a row, the electricity has been cut off in Al-Mayadeen, except in neighbourhoods inhabited by elements and commanders of militias loyal the Assad forces, headed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The sources noted that the Assad regime has cut off the electricity to certain houses, the owners of which do not belong to these militias, which pushed people to think of it as a new policy of pressure used by the Assad regime to push the people to join the national defense or the militias fighting alongside the Assad regime.
According to the sources, brokers of the National defense Militia get approximately 50,000 Syrian pounds to provide electricity to some houses in the city.
The Assad regime has never explained the reasons for cutting off electricity in some neighborhoods in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
It is noteworthy that the poverty situation in al-Mayadeen city is obvious, where the living conditions are very poor, with no job opportunities.
