The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested “Abu Mustafa al-Iraqi”, a former leader of Daesh, in Al-Bassirah city a few days ago, according to D24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent pointed out that “Abu Mustafa al-Iraqi” was the leader of al-Rikaz (the ore) in the badiyah and was hiding in a house in Al-Bassirah.
Community sources revealed to D24 network that “al-Iraqi” had been distributing sums of money to the families of the organization leaders who live in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, through people cooperating with him.
It is noteworthy that a large number of Daesh operatives and commanders are still active in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, that is controlled by the SDF, and their cells occasionally carry out assassinations, and also attack checkpoints of the SDF from time to time.
