A number of elements of the so-called “affiliated” militias were killed and others injured in an attack by Daesh on a military column consisting of a number of buses that were transporting Iranian elements from Homs province to Deir Ezzor, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
The correspondent added: The attack took place yesterday, Wednesday in al-Sukhna area, and resulted in the death of about 20 members of the Iranian militias and Qaterji militia that was accompanying the column.
It is worth mentioning that this attack came after the Qaterji Militia and Assad forces announced that they had secured the road, during the last period.
It is indicated that this is the second attack of its kind by Daesh this month, which pushed the Assad’s forces to send reinforcements from the 5th and 11th Division to the badiyah of Deir Ezzor – al-Sukhna.
