A number of Assad’s forces elements were killed and wounded in an attack by Daesh on a military convoy of Assad’s forces in Hreibsha area two days ago, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
On its way to transport prisoners from the military security branch in Deir Ezzor to Damascus on 23-12-2019, a convoy of Assad’s forces was attacked by Daesh in Hreibsha area, which led to the killing of a number of Assad’s forces elements, including two officers, one of them is a colonel named Mazen Shawky, and the other one is a major (unnamed), in addition to the kidnapping of about 10 elements from the convoy, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
It is indicated that Daesh has recently launched several attacks on Assad’s forces and the Iranian and Russian militias in the badiyah of Deir Ezzor, which forced Assad’s forces to launch a large-scale military campaign against the group in Deir Ezzor.
