Yesterday, Wednesday 6-5-2020 at midnight, the international coalition forces, with participation of special forces of the SDF, carried out an airborne operation in Azzir village east of Deir Ezzor, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
In the details, our correspondent said that last night, a military force consisting of a group of special forces transported by five helicopters of the international coalition, carried out an airborne operation on houses where members of Daesh were hiding in Azzir village, as a result of which two members blew themselves up by explosive belts in order not to be arrested.
According to the correspondent, a Daesh member of Iraqi nationality was arrested, and two members blew themselves up with explosive belts as a result of the operation.
Before the operation, the Syrian democratic forces closed the main roads, and the warned civilians not to leave their homes.
It is noteworthy that the security operations carried out by the international coalition and the SDF against Daesh have been going on for some time, especially after the group has increased its activity in the eastern Euphrates areas of Deir Ezzor over the past month.
