Deir Ezzor 24 network knew that the checkpoints of Assad forces’ 4th Division on the Deir Ezzor-Damascus and Raqqa-Aleppo highways prevented merchants from importing some kinds of food materials into Deir Ezzor.
A source told Deir Ezzor 24 that the 4th Division prevented merchants from importing (sugar, margarine and oil) to Deir Ezzor city after some merchants went to Damascus and Aleppo to buy them.
Deir Ezzor’s markets have been suffering for many days from the scarcity of these materials and their high prices in Deir Ezzor city and its countryside.
