شهد الأسبوع الفائت حركة ملحوظة لعناصر من القوات الأمريكية داخل مدينة الرقة، يقومون بتفكيك الألغام بجانب مشفى المشهداني و حي التوسيعية وعند حديقة الجواد.
وأكدت مصادر محلية للرقة٢٤ “أنّ قوات من الهندسة الأمريكية تقوم بتجميع الألغام في شوارع تلك المناطق بينما تقوم سيارة خاصة بنقلها”
وتزامن ذلك مع منع المدنيين من الدخول إلى تلك المناطق، وأشرفت دوريات عسكرية على حراسة الشوارع ومنع المدنيين من الوصول إلى تلك المناطق، كما تم منع الحركة بإتجاه الطرق المؤدية إلى الجسر القديم داخل مدينة الرقة بسبب إعادة ترميم الجسر.
